Both the hands and the dial emit a very faint light in the dark. Then my local watch shop blasted the watch with light and there was no difference in the glow. Moreover the glow is consistent throughout the night, very faint but consistent.

I am afraid this won’t be enough to be 100% certain.

Ok! What do you think I should do to be certain?

Get an UV light, search for how to use it and how Tritium should behave under UV light on a Speedmaster, you’ll get closer to reality 😉

As mentioned, I've heard some skilled technicians can take excess existing lume from your hands to fill small gaps. The lume is applied to most of the entire back of the hand, and you only see what is allowed through the slot. Some of the non-visible-excess can be scraped off, mixed up and reapplied... If not, they can be found on ebay occasionally. I wouldn't be worried about a perfect match since vintage speedmaster hands almost always age differently... Usually the minute hand ages darker, for reasons unknown to me. Perfectly matching hands are a flag to look for a relume in my experiences.
