when you point out the defects, they become very obvious. Last high jack question..... Is a "redial" a completely new disc or a refurbished old original disc? (Apologize to OP)

I'd say it is reasonably recent because the dial hasn't had time to re-patinate, but it would make sense if they used an old dial as the base.

Redial is a refurbished original. Now I probably pay too much and use a watchmaker who specializes in antique restoration. He's done several watches for me and they all run like champs now. I just had my 18K gold tri overhauled and it cost north of $1500 USD. However it is excellent cosmetically, had not been worked on in a very long time, and well worth the money. I'd find a watch maker who can do this job for less e.g. perhaps not a full movement restoration. . The TRI is a very complex watch so regardless it will not be cheap.

The case appears to be correct, as do the mechanicals. I've been told its a redial. Dont know if it can still be correct

End of my little story!
I could have taken the patinated one, as it is, for 1.5K EUR. But when I asked the seller, if I could let it have be checked by my watchmaker before buying, he refused to, without explaining why.....
So I let it go, because the risk, to have to find parts that are near impossible to find, is to high for me.
......and the most important thing, the decision feels right to me....no regrets.

Thanks @all for your kind help
