Tri-color gold women's watch ID

Hi everyone,

I'm looking to identify my grandmother's watch. Unfortunately, I can't get to a watchmaker to open up the back. I haven't been able to find photos of another quite like it. It's tri-color gold, 14K per the clasp on the band. Value would be interesting, but mostly I'm trying to find some history on the watch, even if that's just when it was made. These photos already stretch the limits of what my phone can do but I can try to get some better ones if needed.

Thanks in advance!

The three colour gold fashion was big in the mid to late 1960s and perhaps the early 1970s. The case and bracelet were not produced by Omega in my opinion, but outsourced from a specialty manufacturer. The clasp showing the 14 karat stamp leads me to believe the case and bracelet might have been U S made. Had the case and bracelet been produced in Europe, the stamping would have been .585. For us to provide you with perhaps more meaningful information, you’ll have to get the case opened, and get back to us with good clear pictures of stamping inside the case back, as well as the mechanism, AND the serial number of the mechanism.

Thank you! Even this much is helpful. Nice to get a sense of where she was in her life when she bought it. If you wouldn't mind, could you describe the watch with proper terms? I was poking around the internet with some keywords but don't know if I got them right.

It is a “fashion” watch, a “dress” watch! Or perhaps a “cocktail”watch. The bracelet is integral to the case. That is, it is permanently affixed (soldered) onto the watch case. Watches like this were best suited to “occasional” wear, and not as a daily driver. The style meant for elegant best wear occasions. Best I can do.

Appreciate it!! Much better than my attempts at throwing "square" and "round" in a search and hoping for the best 😂
