Thank you, all, for your kind and helpful replies. This watch does appear to have a “bumper” movement. Is that incorrect for a late (1.69****) serial PolArouter with six slot caseback?

No, exactly what we would expect. All Polarouters had bumper movements.

You have a perfectly correct Polarouter at the end of the serial number range.

These are very rare--only 50,000 could have been made. How many survived?

As far as transitional, as a category, I am willing to believe some Polerouter dials were used in these cases.

We don't see many of them, but if Polarouters appreciate greatly in the future, I'm sure we will....
