·Understandable questions, but a little advice: if you to step into the vintage market, do your own research. These forums are great for specific questions or 2nd opinions. But in my experience, not a substitute for good old self taught knowledge. In the long run, it increases the chance for a good find.

·The best place to research, by a long way, is right here. It takes a LOT of time and reading to learn a little, and can be frustrating as the more you find out, the more you realise there is to learn and the more pitfalls you spot. So it's hard work, but essential if you really are interested in vintage Omegas, and can be highly rewarding.

··Vintage Omega AficionadoOne should be skeptical of black dialed Omegas in general. Original ones are few and far between, perhaps less than one in a thousand so it's the redialer's most common color.
