Mentawatches? Make sure to state which way the watch winds wins and sets, so he doesn't get confused.

If you鈥檙e serious you need to speak to one of the big auction houses. Christies or Phillips, or possibly Skinner Auctioneers as they seem to sell them relatively often.

+1 on the major auction houses.

Or else, If you really want to go through dealers I鈥檇 say go through people who have a (clean) reputation as vintage military watch specialists.

Brian Dumais, reachable on MWR, specializes exclusively in these and other Blancpain Fifty Fathoms- reachable on the military watch ressource forum. MWR.
Zaf Basha aka Classicwatch in Washington DC- reachable through his website.

^^ Second Zaf or an auction house. Zaf is at http://classicwatch.com/

BTW, do you know the history behind those watches/the owners? Incredibly awesome watches, and to see 3 in one... jeez.

Who do I need to talk to about possibly auctioning some TR900'S

As the MWR folks know, I much prefer the steriles to the original dial, both because I like the layout of the sterile dial better and because they speak more strongly to the military provenance -- they bear the same re-test marks as the amag depth gauges, knives, field kit tools, etc. I have both versions, but wear the steriles a lot more.

Funny story: the morons over at Philips rejected a beautiful and extremely well-documented sterile over the summer explaining that they "had spoken to Blancpain" and that watch "did not exist." A very Zen position considering that they had the watch in their hands. I love the idea of asking the current trademark holder *anything* about the history of the brand....

Our military BP book should be out this winter. It will shed much light on the TR story thanks mostly to the tireless work of the estimable Billy S. I think TR fans will enjoy it.

Best, Hurley.

Thanks for the heads up @Hurley, are you and Billy the authors?

There are 4 co-authors, but the extraordinary Mr S is the man! These watches would never have come to light without him. Beyond that, he has brought the tools and techniques of the scholar to this enterprise. Best, H
