It’s behind you!

I log in, hit ‘Latest’ and read what interests me…… About 20 times a day.
If I want to find about a specific…search function.
When you reply you auto follow that stream but can unfollow hitting the button.

Sure others will add their foibles.

It depends what you want from the forum.

When I started here I was, and am still, interested in vintage Omegas so I spent most of my time in the vintage forum. After a while I started looking at the sales section, so spent some time also perusing the private watches for sale thread. After being here a while I now just watch the 'Latest' section as it keeps me generally up to date with what's going on.

But that's just me...

Ah, and if I'm ever looking for something specific I use the advanced Google search to search this specific site... don't bother with this forum's search...

The new search on the site upgrade is so much better, we’ve been testing it recently on our dev environment end it’s actually extremely good which is so nice compared to our current search. We’re just waiting on some upstream software to be ready and we can go live with it soon.

I've been thinking about writing a "How to Omega Forum" post for a while.
The way *I* do it is to go to Latest > Threads and center/wheel click any subject line that interests me (opens in a new tab). I do that for all of the recently updated threads, without reading them, until I get to the end of the list (or the end of the updated threads in boldface). Then I click 'mark all read'. Next, I close the list of threads and start reading the tabs that I opened.

Just never step away from your device and refresh OF ever 10 seconds and you won’t have all that work opening tabs and such.
