Hi all,

so I practically got this tissot for nothing. It requires a service which I can do myself. The question I have is can anyone tell me the model or ref?

from a serial number check it was manufactured between 1934 and 1936. The caseback is engraved dated at 1942.

I think it’s a no 319 but can’t be sure. IMG_3404.jpeg IMG_3405.jpeg IMG_3406.jpeg IMG_3401.jpeg IMG_3407.jpeg IMG_3409.jpeg

Based on the "Non Magnetic" text on the dial and the inside caseback inscriptions, this watch was likely manufactured for (and locally cased in) the UK.

The T20 movement serial number appears to be 1104637, which would date the movement to 1940. The watch would have been assembled the same year or shortly thereafter, in line with the inscription on the outside caseback.

The inside caseback number 18561 is a case numbering system used by the local case manufacturer. Tissot often used Dennison as a UK supplier of cases, but I'm unsure if this is a Dennison case or not.

So I completed the service on it today. Was quite an easy one for an old watch. Got it to run at 4+ secs consistently. Very happy. Now I need a new crystal and strap.IMG_3475.jpeg IMG_3468.jpeg IMG_3470.jpeg IMG_3471.jpeg
