I bought this watch from Goldsmiths in Victoria on the 11th March 2020, wore it two days in a row before the first lock down, and then put it away in the safe.

I previously listed it for sale, had a change of heart and wore it for about two weeks in late 2021.

As nice as it is, I think I'm trying to force something that's just not going to happen - this is never going to trump other things that live in my watch boxes, so I'm offering it up for sale again, in hope of freeing up a little cash.

Announced at Basel 2018, and available from the September of the same year, this is a Unitas/ETA 6498-1 equipped, 42mm, stainless steel reimagining of a 1943 Tissot antimagnetique, fitted with a 20/18mm leather strap with butterfly deployant.

Specifications from Tissot:
  • Collection: Heritage
  • Water resistance: Water-resistant up to a pressure of 5 bar (50 m / 165 ft)
  • SKU: T1194051603701
  • Crystal: Domed scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with antireflective coating
  • Width: 42.00mm
  • Length: 42.00mm
  • Lugs: 20.00mm
  • Thickness: 11.4mm
  • Weight: 84g
  • Case Material: 316L stainless steel case
  • Power reserve: power reserve of 46 hours
  • Jewels: 17
  • Calibre: ETA 6498-1

Balazs wrote a really good hands on review for Fratello here, which is well worth checking out.

As you can see from the photos, this watch is, for all intents and purposes in "as new" condition, perhaps excluding the marks to the leather where the strap has been through the pin/bar of the deployant.

Now discontinued, this watch retailed at £855 when I bought it in 2020.

Comes with all boxes/papers/stamped and dated Tissot warranty card from Goldsmiths.

I paid £570 (thanks to a discount voucher from my credit card company) and would quite like that back, but can see there are watches for sale in the EU for less - so dropping to £450 (which I think makes this the cheapest in Europe) - payment by bank transfer or (transfer)WISE in GBP.

Like me, the watch is located in London, so face-to-face may be possible.

Otherwise, shipping to be agreed with buyer.

Any questions, please ask and I'll do my best to answer.

Thanks

Chris

Despite trying to fall in love with this in late 2021, it's still just not for me, so is now available again.

Price dropped to £450 - I *think* making this the cheapest one in Europe.

Giving this a gentle nudge.

The 8000+ views suggest that is is of interest... but maybe I have the price wrong?

If you'd like it and would like to try and work out a deal, please drop me a DM.

Keen to move it out of the door and put some cash back in my bank account. 👍

Very interesting piece at a great price from an A+ seller.

Same movement as the early Paneri when they “relaunched”

Thanks dude!

It's undoubtedly an interesting watch - and seeing the (very nicely finished for the price) movement on display is pretty cool I think.

However, the out of control watch box(es), a need to pay for less than exciting things, and a desire to trim down the amount of shiny stuff in the house means it time for it to move along.

At £395 I think this is now the cheapest one for sale anywhere - if you want one, I think this is a pretty good deal.

I've had lots of enquiries about shipping this internationally in the last 24 hours, so putting an answer here too:

I will ship internationally, it needs to be tracked and fully insured, this is not cheap (quote to India was £80 plus insurance, quote to Europe was £80 including insurance).

Other helpful information:

1 - For the folks in the USA that are looking for one of these and want the best deal they can get, head to eBay - JOMA shop is clearing out their inventory on the black strapped version, and the price is around $422 plus sales tax.

2 - The price I am now asking is my "best price". You're getting this watch for under 1/2 the RRP and £175 less than I paid for it.
