I don’t know about you but when it come to a sub dial watch...I generally drool . Just love the classic look. So when I saw Tissot’s latest heritage piece, the Petite Seconde, A big smile appeared . It’s is quite a wonderful example of the classic sub dial from yesteryear. Ok, it’s a 42mm steel piece but with a classic manually winding movement, and a pretty classic dial. So gets my vote and for circa £800 good value IMO. It’s on my list to Santa upload_2018-12-6_9-41-39.jpeg

I saw an 37.5mm Tissot on IG the other day - 42mm will look gigantic with a bright white dial like this one.

I feel otherwise. 42 mm size totally screwed up the classic feeling of otherwise a good design. I can’t understand why these brands increase size of their classic favourites unnecessarily. Only they know the rationale.

Uses an ETA 6498 movement. 36.6mm diameter on its own.

Yup, nice design; shame about the size.

I would argue that Tissot had the best classic signature of any manufacturer.

Love the design, the size just kills it though.

Wonder why they didn't use the ETA 7001 as that is much smaller than the 6498.

I agree. The size is disapointing but the classic style spot on IMO

I agree 42mm is going to be way too big with that watch; 40mm or, preferably, 38mm would be better.

Wow, that’s beautiful. Here’s a case where size doesn’t matter!

33-36 mm is the best size for them IMHO.

Yes I agree. They are any day better than these 42 mm re-edition of those classic beauties. Anyway beauty lies in the eye of the beholder indeed.
