·Greetings all,
$100 PP F&F, cheapest shipping to CONUS included and I send the payment to Bill.
Selling a groovy 70’s Seastar Day/Date with the whoosh pattern on the dial and Spanish day wheel. Slow day and quick push date change (a little sticky at first but works)- hence why the crown looks out, that’s the push date thing.
It keeps time, has been polished I assume, but the edges are sharp along the lugs and bottom so I don’t think the lozenge shape is due to over polishing- I think it’s just the shape. Crystal was a mess when I got it so replaced it with a double thick diver style high dome crystal which actually looks awesome on it and replaced the rear gasket.
Watch measures 36mm w/o crown and 42 tip to tip, 18mm lugs.
Dial has some light scratching, not really too noticeable from arms length but it’s there. The dial has an incredible sunburst shimmer though so the scratches aren’t that noticeable while you’re being mesmerized by the hypnotic psychedelic shimmer show.
It passed the 8 hour immersion in Tupperware test (not pressure tested) so is water “resistant”. No clue on the last service, wouldn’t go swimming with it.
I’m including a beefy Hadley Roma leather strap with it. The watch is a thick sucker so the strap is a good fit-wore it twice in the winter months so no sweaty arms contacted the strap.
It’s a cool watch but not really my style- an awesome beater or high school graduation gift for that nephew you kind of like but only see at holidays- if he learned Spanish in school then the Espanol day will be a bonus.
