Tissot cal.2571 day wheel realignment

Hello all,

I have a Tissot PR 516 GL (cal. 2571) which I have just about re-assembled, unfortunately the day wheel does not line up with the date.

The only guides I can find online for this issue are for Seikos - these require the steel star wheel to be shifted, and although this method may work on my Tissot, my day star wheel is made of brass and I'm worried about warping or destroying the teeth on the wheel trying to shift it.

There is no sign on the back of the day disc that the star wheel has shifted, which makes me wonder if something else has somehow shifted during reassembly?

Guidance would be very much appreciated!

I should add that this misalignment remains issue no matter how many times I advance the time forward or quick change the date wheel

Really? No advice here?
Is the day jumper fully engaging in the teeth of the star wheel?
You should be able to see through the holes and even use a needle to see if you can push it into more engagement.

Also, -How's the friction between the hour wheel and the day disc? (In the picture the hour wheel is in the day disc)

Hour wheel is spinning freely from the date disc and the day jumper are engaging properly, it really does seem like the day wheel is misaligned...
