Thank you @melanieux. I just ordered one. I'll share some pictures once it arrives. I'm not sure if 38mm will be too small for me (I typically wear 40mm+).

I have a big wrist...The watch wears beautifully. You will need to get the bracelet right and learn how to operate it.

Thanks @Larry S - Hopefully figuring out the bracelet doesn't require an advanced degree. I usually adjust my own. 😀

The is a tab on the slide clasp that you flip up to move it, then down to lock. I have found that in the early going the bracelet takes a bit of finesse on and off. Best to operate over a forgiving surface in the early days.

I typically wear a 42-45mm watch, sometimes as small as 40mm. The Q is as small as I’m comfortable with these days, and the older AT Skyfall 38.5mm wore slightly bigger to my eyes, due to more thickness and bigger dial.

I actually ordered two.. was going to sell one on ebay, but if you're wanting one, talk to me after it arrives.
Only thing - I paid full price for them. I didn't have any coupons handy, and I just wanted to finish the transaction before they sold out. And I'm in So Cal.. so tax. Anyways, will let you have it at what it cost me if you want.

Great vintage style, unique bracelet and a bit of history, all for $200? Kind of a no-brainer if you like the style!

I have one and for the price it’s a great looking casual beater.

For those here thinking of buying... my peeve is I had 4 (3 gifts) and not one has the seconds and minutes line up... worse when seconds hit 30 the minute hand already is at the next number.

I’m in correspondence with Timex so will see if they at least trade me one decent QA’d one.

For the last point, surely you can just wait until the seconds hand is at the 12 O’Clock position, pull the crown all the way out to stop the watch, then turn the crown to adjust the minute hand so that it is at the exact minute marker, then push the crown to restart the seconds hand. I don’t own one, but looking at the manual you can do this. Also, you can for every analog quartz watch I own.

Unfortunately that does not work. The way the quartz watches tick is at set intervals.

Once it starts running it goes right back to the same behaviour.

It’s a quality control issue. Machine assembled quartz interestingly enough (from what I’ve read) have less issues - ie cheaper Casio’s are nicely aligned.

Yes, for the second hand not hitting the minute markers exactly every second it ticks, I agree with you. But you made two complaints, and I stated that my suggestion was only for your last one. You wrote that when the second hand “hit 30”, the minute hand is already at the next number. That is easily correctable on any quartz or mechanical analog watch with a hackable movement, as I described

Thanks, I can clarify.

Both behaviour happens once the watch starts running again. The minute hand, as soon as the second round goes returns to the behaviour of going to the next number at 30 seconds. I tried this on all four watches.

Same as yourself, I feel the hackable movement should be able to fix this.
