Ahhh. Give em another chance. I literally beat the crap out of this thing. Three plus years on its battery, keeps great time. I’ve grown very fond of it. Also have the Q Timex which I treat more gently.

I guess I was just unlucky.
My next watch was a Rolex GMT which started my real interest in watches . The Timex was my first Quartz and I had such high hopes for it, the disappointment was enormous. I have had numerous Seiko's since purely for work, all have been excellent. A watch that serves you well becomes a familiar friend and for me the opposite for one that was just trouble.Your Timex is your buddy.

It is. I bought it after someone here, rightly lectured me about riding with my Rolex GMT. Purely expendable but it’s grown on me.

Done that been there, I was a bike racer back in the day. Riding to work one day stupidly wearing the GMT , I was knocked of my bike, the GMT proved its Pan Am heritage and proved it could fly, subsequently run over by 2/3 cars. Wish I was wearing the long gone Timex !

Great bargain watch OP! I was given mine by a watch friend from Michigan, I plonked a battery in and away it went. These are very rugged watches, being around fifty years old and still working and keeping out water (I soaked mine while washing pots) is a testimony to their build quality in such basic watches.
Long live 'lectrics!

im an electric fan too.😁 in fact i have two but unfortunately cant find the right batteries.🙁
