Thrift Store Amazing Find! Omega Seamaster Automatic Waterproof

I spend quite a bit of time picking in the thrift stores/estate sales. I purchased a vintage Hugo Boss pinstripe suit which was a fab find in itself. I was going through the pockets before I sent it off to the cleaners and found a beautiful Omega watch in the pocket.

I am wondering if any of you on this forum could help me to date this beauty.

I am struggling to find appropriate/accurate information on the web. I have not had much luck in matching up photos of other like pieces.

Watch has an original Omega clasp band with the numbers "614" and "70" on either side of the back. Please have a peek at my photos if you think you may be able to help.

Thank you very much in advance.

Welcome to the forum and congrats on your lucky find!
Funny the dial also looks like it’s got pinstripes.

Others will have to provide more info as unfortunately I don’t know much about Omega. We do have to tell you though that forum policies prohibit new members from offering watches for sale.
I do like the watch though;
Make sure to read the posting guide if you want people to be able to help.

That's cool that you found it in the pocket, good job.

It's going to be difficult to give definitive information because the numbers we need are inside the watch, and that type of case needs to be opened by a professional. But it's a nice watch with an interesting dial (not sure I've seen that dial before), maybe early 1960s? Others may know better.

The bracelet looks like it may have been put together from a hodgepodge of parts, unfortunately.

Thanks for the help Dan S. This is a great start for me!

It’s an early 60’s Seamaster ‘pre-DeVille’.

I’m sure @PlainVanilla will be able to narrow it down to one or two references.

Possibly a 14745 or 14765

Tapestry dial, somewhat faded, but a very nice find. I would guess early 60’s and a 147xx reference.

Agree.early 60’s Pre De Ville. Crown looks a bit off though on the 3rd picture, a bit too ‘high’?
