·I (generally) do my thrifting from online auctions and, once every two years or so, I trip and fall into a gold cocktail watch (the key is don't chase the high, you'll give it all back to the house). In my grubby hands for $120 (all shipping, fees and taxes).
This was part of a lot with costume necklaces; in the original box and with signed band and buckle. Poorly photographed and without a clearly visible "#K" on the case back; but all the markers were saying "solid gold" including a little blurry hallmark near the crown.
The 18k case that has since gone on to top up the watch fund. If anyone needs a sweetly running AS1012 or a Borel band/buckle/case, free to a good home.
