I love Rolex, but why all that printing............ ORIGINAL bla bla.

Over the top. I love the Snoopy and would make the swop.

I really agree here - I can't stand that "Original Gas Escape valve" and "Ringlock system" BS. I personally think it looks tacky and completely un-necessary.

I'm biased being here, but I love my Silver Snoopy. I'm also one of those collectors who will almost never let it out of my collection.

I'd go with the Snoopy. I do dig the Rolex Deepsea D Blue, though, and it's one of the few Rolex watches I have, or even would want to have, but it doesn't compare to how special the Snoopy is to me.

Would you really want a watch with a cartoon character on the dial?

The anti-Snoopy arguments confuse me. If the NASA award were a model rocket, and that model was portrayed on the dial, I suspect many would be okay with it. NASA chose Snoopy, not Omega.

I like snoopy and I think he looks great on the dial. Would you like to know which mass produced Omega dial bothers me? That would have to be the dark side of the moon with its Zr02 on the dial. It completely disrupts the dial.......how could they EVER think that people would like ZR02 on their dial?????????????????? Tell me one person that thinks to themselves "man its really cool that ZR02 is on my dial". I dare one person to honestly agree with this.

●The person who made this " specific remark " is not JOSH perhaps his friend of an Asian origin more towards the Oriental Far East
● Do make constructive comments about the original DSOTM. That is 0ne watch I have read about THE most, worn many times & I completely disagree with your Cock & Bull Story.
● I love Snoopy too & regretted my decision of politely declining one when an offer came by at the OB. How am I suppose to take your words seriously when your PhD buddies cant even post the correct printing on the Snoopy dial ?
Josh or @Jappeney.Please dont let your PhD buddies abuse this thread ok ? It's pretty embarassing when I have to deal with C●●wns on a respected forum dd1958c56d281cdae7ca25ca3477ca1d.jpg

It is pointless when u ask TRF as well comparing Rolex 116500 to snoopy and asking people to vote. Of course over at TRF, people will pick the rolex 116500. http://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=506580. I can deduce that you have already swayed toward the Snoop. So just swap that darn thing for it.

I might if I could find a snoopy at a good price. I can wait, looks like they have been slowly dropping.

I haven't seen list prices drop, to be honest. They've only gone up... and that makes it harder to offer "reasonable" prices since the differential is larger.

I second that. I was lucky to find one in near by country where i live. Since then (late oct), the price has gone up. Now most listing is usd 11000 and up, just look at Chrono24. Good luck waiting for the price to come down, unless u find a beat up snoopy in few yrs.

To be perfectly honest I would rather pay less for a used snoopy.....the problem is that nobody is wearing them and then selling them. Everyone is trying to charge a premium for lnib and mint condition. I prefer my watches to take a depreciation hit before I buy them. That is, unless the price is right for a new one. Just my 2 cents.

I have no idea as to future prices of any watch. If you think it is a good deal then drop your socks and do it. Personally though I would be hesitant to get a snoopy anytime soon as I think many owners are hoping the resale value will continue to be high. That maybe the case but it may also be the case that when the next big thing comes along people will be trying to off load snoopies in order to finance a new watch. Changes in taste may also mean that the snoopy might loose it's appeal while the rolex will always retain a certain sense of timelessness that will appeal to a wider audience if you decide to sell it in the future.

Hi Guys [emoji137]
Omega hit the Jackpot with The Silver Snoopy. I predict the price will NOT Fall but will remain high driven by consumer demand & its universal timeless appeal spanning generations. This is a mechanical hand winding Denim Snoopy made by Timex in 1976 cd75a630f4484884e24f0782f4ddfb0e.jpg The 1st Timex Denim Snoopy was manufactured in 1969 ( Yes. Man on the Moon ) but the 1976 Blue Denim animated Snoopy dial with the tennis racket & the tennis ball circling the dial as a second hand was recognized as the most collectable had a price tag of US10 at that time 50c13eaf4993205b3fbf5cbb553a93b5.jpg Now a complete set with the original dog house casing & paperworks ranges from US189-299 depending on the condition c9e6acf44e759425bea2c5267f7585f0.jpg The most expensive ever 1976 Denim Snoopy that was listed on ebay carried a price tag of USD 499 81122e43e9b72ef8d4d58a1b60debf0d.jpg

Nobody is wearing them and then selling them... yet. Eventually something new will come along, or some owners will realize they would rather have some other grail watch, and production of new ones will catch up with demand, and then a few used ones will come up for sale.
