Hello guys,

Would like you hones opinion on this dial. It looked very attractive at first glance but got a comment about it possibly being relumed.
What’s you thoughts on it?
It’s a 168.025 for your reference.

Here’s some pictures 😀

Hard to say. These were known for having lume dots that were rather heavy, and you can see evidence of this on very worn out dials:

That being said, yours look a little too clean and too heavy for me.

there's not that many lumed 168.025s around - but of the ones I've found (on the web) the lume is a bit oversized on all of them.

Does it glow in dark, if yes then it's relumed as the original wouldn't.

Also does relume affect the value much?

Depends upon the watch, the type of lume, and the buyer. Some buyers won't touch a watch if radiium was an ingredient in the luminous material and would be more comfortable with a relumed dial and hands using non-radioactive lume. Other buyers, including me, would say that removal of the radium lume destroys the originality of the watch and significantly devalues it. My personal view is that reluming is appropriate only when the existing lume is damaged or missing to such an extent that it either detracts from the overall appearance of the watch or could cause damage to the dial or movement.

It’s not quite as clear cut as that unfortunately. Some original tritium still glows to some degree. Also a lack of glow doesn’t prove originality as many re-lumes don’t glow at all or can even recreate the feint glow of original tritium.
