I am looking to buy this as my first Omega watch and wanted to know if anyone could tell how original all the parts and dial look. It looks all good to me as the logo and stops seem to be all in order and legitimate. Thanks for any help.

I believe that the bezel had a sunburst brushed finish originally. The polished look is pretty odd, IMO. Otherwise it looks good.

f300Hz hummers are quite specialist but make for cheap entry into Omega ownership if you get a good working one. Here is a website discussing them with lots of info including a gallery showing high res pics of many variations, the majority in fact:

Ok brilliant! specialist in the sense its hard to repair or otherwise? Thanks for the link, I found the movement in the images and some information. Is this a watch you would suggest to start with or maybe another, I'm looking for this price range.

It depends on where you are in the world to be honest. They are not something every small town watchmaker can handle and parts are harder to come by than they once were. There are 2 highly regards independent specialists in the UK who will service and maintain these very cheaply (the link I posted is one of them), and there is STS (also UK) who will do so less cheaply. There are USA guys who can sort them, particularly since the tech is Bulova derived, once an American company. If the watch is running well to start with then you may get away with simple battery changes for years to come but the one you are looking at has issues then you may be better off finding one that runs well. These are addictive, the sweep second and gentle hum are quite mesmerising and very different to modern quartz watches but be aware there will be those who turn their nose up at the hummers and lump them in with quartz as a wrong turn, lacking soul and class. I used to feel that way, until I got one.

ps my avatar pic is an Omega hummer which is at STS at present having work.
