Advertised as unworn original condition for $9k. Thoughts?

Seems like a pretty unique opportunity if everything is as the seller is claiming... original box, papers, etc.

Was really, really curious about this one as well. Presuming it truly is unworn/NOS, it's a fascinating watch. That said, I'm not sure *this* NOS watch is worth $9k at the moment, given there are examples in very good condition for $2k less on chrono24. But who knows: maybe someone's been waking up for months waiting for *presicely* this watch.

I sure as heck would want to see photos of the movement for $9k... Not sure how they can claim unworn, either. And it looks like a small gouge in the caseback at the edge of the indent around the 5 o'clock position. It seems to be nice, but unworn is questionable.

Good poin.

I'm also wondering if the case finishing is original, the bushing on the case back looks heavy handed to me...

Agreed, nice but it certainly doesn't strike me as looking like an unworn watch. Big words IMO

If I remember correctly, on these C-case series (145.006/145.016) the brushing on the top of the bezel is radial - and not circular. See the excellent thread by @kov below for reference pics.

I don't know why, but I just think this is a put-together set by a dealer. Just my gut feel.

I think we have observed both. There’s no rule IMO.

I think I can second that feeling. Always curious about listing where papers are shown but no details are visible. This can well be all put together, blank papers, tag…

Also that box is from the mid-late seventies. Not the one I would expect to see with a 145.016.

I learnt something new today.
