Thoughts on this Dirty Dozen

So there I was -- a few glasses of whiskey deep when I made an impulse offer on a Omega Dirty Dozen watch which was accepted at $1800. Most I've ever considered spending on a watch but I grew up a James Bond fan and always thought Omega was cool and loved the vintage look & history of the Dirty Dozen watches. This definitely replaced the Hamilton Khaki I've been wearing! I didn't however look up how to make sure the watch was authentic because honestly I'm not really a watch guy and it would have gone over my head anyway...

The seller said it was with his family for about 20 years and it was serviced by Omega about 15 years ago at the NYC location and again from an independent 3rd party a year or two ago. According to the seller, the hands & balance wheel were replaced during the Omega servicing. I'm assuming the crown too because I've never seen another Dirty Dozen with the Omega symbol. Can the good people here let me know if they see anything that might indicate it's not authentic? I don't mind if it's not completely original, I love wearing it and want to make sure that it's mostly authentic. Figured this is probably the best place to ask. I did take it to the Omega store in Denver and was told they could send it for servicing but the wait would be about a year to get it back. I don't think it needs a service just yet and I don't want to wait that long to find out more about it.

I appreciate your time! Maybe next time I'll impulse buy a new Railmaster or Speedmaster direct from Omega so I know exactly what I'm getting haha

It has a 2nd generation (MoD) dial, probably tritium lume, without the sunken sub dial and as you say replacement hands and crown. Otherwise all is as it should be I think. You could always get the hands relumed to a more suitable colour to improve the look a little.

Thank you very much for the information! I've loved wearing this watch over the last few days, the brown leather band from Omega really brings it all together for me.

Seller said if they find the original parts and service records, they'll send them my way!

Looking again, the likely dial does have a sunken sub dial, so a first gen, dial. If you get the original hands back and they still have the lume in them I would put them back on the watch, personally. Nice watch.
