This is being sold by a dealer I’ve bought from before. I’m considering it as another purchase. Just wondering your thoughts on the case and dial. Many thanks for any advice.

It’s A 145.029. Seller is looking for just over $3000. I haven’t seen too many with this particular dial/hands combo and it intrigued me.

Looks OK condition is well worn but nothing a service with a touch of case refinishing and a new crystal wouldn’t fix.

A 861 chrono for $3k 👍

Thank you! I was debating the refinishing but am somewhat leery of doing anything, since it can't be undone.

Just a service would still be a good watch.

Not sure what prices are nowadays as I bought mine a long time ago. But $3k isn’t crazy ( others might chime in )

@STANDY ’s got it. Price isn’t crazy at all, with the dial, hands and movement in that condition.

I have occasionally seen these come up for sale with really nice cases. If I recall correctly, one here in Private Sales and one on eBay.

How long have you been looking?

Thanks. I haven’t really, although it’s an omega seamaster period I like and have collected a little. Bought a very nice piece from a forum member recently. I did notice one awhile back that was less but not serviced and the dial and hands seemed less pristine.

The way I look at it it’s basically a cheap Speedmaster for the price. 😉

The dial and hands are really nice and I could happily live with the case, it's a vintage watch.
