Good evening/afternoon/morning,

I saw this watch and was wondering what the community's thoughts were.
I could not find this dial on a reference and wonder if it is authentic.
The site says:

Half the people opening this are checking to see what watch you’re calling a calatrava but in this case it’s actually a calatrava lol

I may not be smart, but I know what a Calatrava is.

Na it’s just that so many people talk about Omega dress watches as calatravas, Longines models etc to the point that it’s super commonly misused but you were entirely correct

Maybe fire off a request to John Reardon at Collectability? There is no guarantee that he will help as he is also in the business of selling these watches. Worth a shot though.

I am curious about where you are buying this watch from and why you are keen to part with Patek money when you don't trust the seller to recognize or disclose a redial.

The first adage of vintage watch buying applies here "buy the seller not the watch!".

He always struck me as a kind and helpful sort though.

Hodinkee just did a video/podcast on most of all the Calatrava models for Patek with Ben. Might be worth listening too.

IMO - I would er on the side of a redial here and not worth purchasing.
