Hi all,

This 105.003-65 Ed White hammered at 8500 GBP + 17,5% premium + VAT... Did someone get a good deal on a full set with a spare bracelet?

the inscription on the caseback would have put me off... otherwise the watch doesn´t look bad (wrong crown though)

Some discussion of the watch HERE

I thought it to be a decent deal and there wasn’t much action in the room for it.

Is all that crust on the back corrosion or just years of dirt. Apparently the original owner was given it for his birthday 13th birthday. What a kind Granpa Ole Man Raffles was.

I find the inscription sorta endearing. If I'd been there and had the means, I probably would have bid. It'll look swell once a proper watchmaker has gone over it thoroughly.

I felt the same about it and it was good to know the fella kept it and all the papers for all this time as the watch meant something to him.

I was just watching, interested in seeing the hammer price. Especially since the watch came with all the works (extra bracelet, box, papers, provenance...). Plus, it is interesting to see where the Speedy prices are moving these days.
