So when you find the answer, what's the difference if the thread was answered (or in this case from Albertwii81- never answered) which may be of interest to a new user to a Forum on Vintage timepieces?

Fair comment. The original question was never actually answered, which is odd since the crown on the OP's watch looks like a a cloth cap on a suit with butterfly lapels and flares. You don't have to be much of an expert to see that it belongs on earlier Seamasters and is wrong here. @eyedoc751's watch appears to have the correct crown.

Thanks Edward 53. I apologize for my pics with the hands covering the script, and the poor lighting. As you can see it was photographed late at night, the day was in process of changing when I got around to pictures so I waited till process completed. I read somewhere that one shouldn't adjust time and then adjust backward to reset watch during day/date change and when it completed the hands of course were covering the script. Also the light from the lamp produced glare. If anyone wants to see better pictures, I am happy to redo them in daylight. Cheers. Barry

This was recently given to me by my father. His father gave it to him when he was my age (24). It was purchased in Venezuela sometime around 1980. Its solid 18k gold
-Does anybody know what this baby is worth? i think it looks nice but I'm just the WATCHNOOB!!!!
