    Dear All,

Not too long ago I was looking for Omega Constellation C-shaped and during my search, i knew about Omega Seamaster Chronometer cal.751.
I found the seamaster chronometer is more unique and i like the look of it since then my search direction changed from constellation c-shaped to seamaster cal.751.

After a while, i found this Omega Seamster Chronometer 168.034 in the bay. I found very little information about this model but i still bought the watch.

The watch come with 1170 bracelet with 604 link to the case and so far the 751 performance is really up to the chronometer claim. Really one of the best!

I have few questions about the watch:

    1. I'm curious about the dial. It has a lume dot but why the dial only stated -swiss made-.
The lume dot next to the date window also quite odd. Is this a re-dial?

    2. Is this the correct crown to the watch?

    3. Is this the correct hands to the watch?

I have attached the watch pictures below and any input or additional information (good and bad) about the watch is really appreciated. I'm prepared for the worst since i do not do a proper research before buying the watch.

    Thank you

Ugh! That's a horrible watch! Give me the link to the listing so I can make an offe…… um, chastise the seller!

Yeah, that's it - chastise the seller. :D

Okay, if that didn't scare you away let's try this:

C-cases are the red-headed step children of the watch world. Only a complete dork would be caught wearing one! ::puke::

(hey guys, think that's sufficient to keep him away so I can snatch it? :whistling: )

Wow. Thanks. I'm glad that I bought a good watch.
This model seems like unpopular since I found very little information about it. Seems like 168.023 is more popular when you are talking about seamaster chronometer.

I have the same reference in steel grey face. The lume at 3 o'clock is in the right place. To your question at the swiss made-mine has
T Swiss Made T. I purchased mine new Aug 1973 from AD. The crown on yours has larger facet grooves. I'm no expert, but I don't think the crown is original. Mine is still my daily worn timepiece, recently has undergone a complete service which I've done each 7 years; gains 4 sec/day after last service 2 months ago. Could probably be adjusted to be more accurate, but as long as it's lubricated and fully serviced, I haven't been in a hurry to tinker with it

How do you know your crown was not replaced at a service?

Pointing out he has no way to judge which is the correct crown.

Please understand I was not being critical of Albertwii81 watch-just making observation. WRT T swiss T made---it seems that depending on date of manufacture there can be some variance of this notation on dial. Actually I think my reference of my watch is: 168.034 cal 751. As to the question of original crown, if that query was directed at my post, my watchmakers over the years have returned parts if any were replaced during service; as well there are many forums that have well maintained examples of this reference, and those crowns look like mine. Having said that, I am by no means an expert-far from it; fortunately this forum has many respected experts on Omega generally, as well as this reference/caliber in particular. I would defer to their opinion which I respect

Why are we even talking about a thread from 2014?

Thank you BlackTalon. Interesting comment X350XJR on a forum on vintage timepiece references that are 45-50 years old! Often questions on this caliber have been answered previously on this reference easily going back to 2011, 2014 etc. Often experts from this forum have written complete essays on the T swiss made T, , lume points etc. Some people, new to watch collecting, or simply interest, look to these forums to get info on these references but the question had also been asked 4 yrs ago, 8 yrs ago etc- and the answer may have been thoroughly explained 7 yrs ago or 15 yrs ago. So when you find the answer, what's the difference if the thread was answered (or in this case from Albertwii81- never answered) which may be of interest to a new user to a Forum on Vintage timepieces?

Perhaps photos of your watch for comparison would make your post more relevant.
