Hi everyone. Newby here. I was hoping to get some feedback on this kabaclyde purchase? I’m excited about it, but any thoughts are appreciated. Here’s the info:

"Omega Seamaster De Ville c610 - white sunburst - ca 1964"----Got it for $750
This is an incredibly gorgeous stunner in great all original condition. The original white sunburst dial is in great condition, with light patina. It pops gorgeously. The steel case is in great condition, with signs of use. Both the crown and crystal are Omega signed. The watch is a ref 136.020, powered by a manual wind cal 610 from ca 1964. It will come freshly serviced, working perfectly and keeping excellent time. It measures 34mm diameter without crown, and 40mm from lug to lug. It comes on a new genuine lizard leather strap.

I pulled the trigger because I know kabaclyde is a trusted seller. He's been great to interact with. Thank you in advance.

I wish kabaclyde's C-Case selling days were back - his prices are usually above auction ending levels, maybe close to 1.4X, yet you can't buy 2 watches with issues and make it one nice watch

This is a nice watch, hope you enjoy it, it's a crystal locking watch so you can't easily see the movement - that's the main downer

Looks good for price if the service was done well. I am not a huge fan of white spot patina on these silver dials though.

Looks like a nice watch, and a fair price if properly serviced.

I'm assuming a silver dial without any patina would be much more expensive, correct?

With patience, you can find a watch with a cleaner dial for the price you paid. But I'm sure your will face up nicely on the wrist to the naked eye. You already suggested that you were ok with paying a modest premium because you liked the seller.

I think it looks great.

Don’t worry about the dial. I’d happily own it and wear it. Camera shots are generally pretty unforgiving and show marks (and wrist hairs) that none of us notice in ‘real life’.

To emphasise my point, here’s one of my Seamasters. There are two small marks on either side of the Omega logo but they only seem prominent in photos.

Yours is a nice catch at a reasonable price. Enjoy it.

I think the watch looks very nice and the changes to the dial are not too intrusive.

have a question about the hands. The white centres seem unusual to me, I have seen black centres much more often. Did they come with white centres on white dials?

I am asking a question to learn something. On automatics with the silver dials I have seen a black centre with a small lume window near the tip of the hand. But you have a manual, which is a different kettle of fish. As I said I am asking so that I can learn.
