Hello!

I was hoping i could get some thoughts and input about this watch, i have compared it against a reference and i believe the dial has remained untouched. However, it has a lot of uneven patina. (which i guess in the end comes to a personal preference) if i get it, i was thinking about getting the dial cleaned (still unsure, there is something about watching at how it aged) , and if i do, do you guys think it would make a lot of difference? or is there a point in which patina would just be damage to the watch?

for $600 USD, do you guys think the ratio between condition is ok?

might be a controversial topic, but as always, happy and excited to hear your thoughts.

here are the photos of the watch:

Thank you!

In that price range I would look more at a nice quality Geneve with a clean dial and Calibre 601 rather than a bumper Seamaster with a dial in that condition. It’s not a rare enough watch to justify buying it with that much patina in my view and it has been polished extremely heavily to get that shine.

Agreed. You can get something nice and entry-level for $600 with a little patience, and you will be happier in the long run. The condition of the OP watch is poor, and the movement could end up being a money pit.

thank you @dsio @Dan S ! yeah agreed you can find really nice examples for that price range, thinking it could be a gamble, i dont see as many references like this where i live, only a bunch of seamasters deville and franken constellations lol
