I've removed the post. I guess aftermarket parts are a no-go with some members, which is completely understandable.

So you want to buy a replica bezel ::facepalm2::

Nothing you say above makes any sense from what you should have learned already. And you even link a site ( one month ban for that)

May as well get a fake pair of Ray bans and a LV hand bag while your at it..

    Should have bought a 3570.::confused2::

Well... The reason I bought the 3594.50 is because it was $1,000 cheaper than a 3570.50 (I did an excellent trade for it). It's the exact same case, movement, bracelet, caseback (less the engraved words), pushers, and almost the same dial. It's literally a 3570.50 with different hands and a different bezel.

In my honest opinion, I don't see the giant issue with purchasing an aftermarket bezel, especially for personal use. I get that everyone has different opinions on stuff like this, but I'm not asking advice on how to build a non-genuine watch. I'm just asking if an aftermarket part would make sense in this particular situation on an authentic Omega. I simply wanted opinions (and, luckily, you gave me yours).

Regarding aftermarket parts: there are numerous threads on the Custom Watch Concepts casebacks on the OF (i.e. this here), and people love them. They are aftermarket. They are also $425 cheaper than genuine Omega sapphire casebacks.

And about the site link: I was linking to it merely as a reference, not as an advertisement. Forgive me for that. Since it's that big of a deal, I'll remove the post contents all together, and I will do further research on my own.

But, thank you for assuming that I enjoy purchasing "fake" items on a regular basis, and thank you for your input on the aftermarket bezel. ;)

Guys, the OP isn't intentionally hawking a counterfeit part - he was just asking about it. There's no ban rule in place for honest questions. You can give you're honest opinion with no punches pulled though.

You don't need to buy an "aftermarket" part... the genuine Omega part fits just fine.

Guess what model this was originally? :)

That "57 Replica" could have been thought out a little better.

Ugh. That looks so good! I love the simplicity of the dial, and the applied logo just seals the deal for me. I couldn't justify NOT getting the 3594.50 at such an affordable price. You've got a stunner there, Tom!

I'm putting alpha hands on it, though. :)

How will you do that? Aren't those hands designed for the 361?

Different schools of thought on this! I'm afraid I've not heard a convincing argument against previous comments by me. However everyone is entitled to their opinion. Even if goaded I won't make any further posts because I think we all have strongly held beliefs on this issue!

They were designed for the First Omega in Space model. Just happen to fit a Speedmaster Professional properly.

    I *think hands for 321, 861, 1861 are interchangeable, aren't they?

I hope so. That would be cool. It would broaden my options quite a bit!
