Thoughts on a Connie

To me this looks like a great watch. Case not overpolished, wrong crown, good movement if not especially clean. Nothing that can't be fixed. Not so sure about the dial, though. I can't say for sure, but I've seen dials that are known to be good where the minute markers come all the way out to he hour markers. I've also seen some decent looking ones known to be redials where the minute markers don't come very close to the hour markers. These come pretty close without touching, so I don't know exactly what to think.
Help with that, and a reasonable price?
Thanks!

Do a search search of ebay sold listings using the reference number to determine cost.

Im on my cell so I can’t see as well as I would like. Is that lume on the hands? I don’t see any on the markers.

Regarding ebay, they have no switch for original vs redials. So while I'm very familiar with it, there's a limit to it's usefulness.

From what I can tell there's none on the dial while the hands show some. Thanks for pointing that out.

Its useful if you want to know what that reference has sold for since you want to know a good price.

Be wary of sellers who don't post a straight on dial shot. Often they are trying to hide something.
I don't see any obvious problem, but am not confident.

Been watching it all week and the case seems pretty sharp. But I can’t gamble on that level so when I’m ready for my piepan it will most likely be from a member here and I’ll pay the premium

you can see dial lume in this shot
Thanks! I was wondering if that was lume or a trick of the curved glass.

It's present at 11,1,2, missing from 10 at least.
I suspect the pics have been generous to the case, too.

Sold at US $891.00
Factor in a decent service, probably $1200 + in total.

Funny I posted this in the Recommended Vintage Omega post. 900USD is a good deal in my opinion! All original besides the crown, I personally dislike those indices and its particular piepan style which looks kinda flat.

Looking closer at the dial you can see some yellowing around the edges, you can see some lacquer damage around 3 and 9 o clock which will probably look worse head on. Hands are oxidized and will probably have a whiteish/bluish tone in direct light. The case looks unpolished but is definitely worn and the photos seem to hide a lot of the marking.

Hope this helps!

Thanks. I'll definitely keep an eye out for head-on shots, or lack of them.

Horribly scratched case back would have been a deal breaker for me, price paid was high considering this.
