I'm looking for one just like that, on my next trip I'll head over to the OB and take a look at it personally

Thanks for the photos, hopefully I will get to see that and others on Thursday.
I have to agree that if you are in the market for a good looking casual\sports watch Rolex has the edge over Omega for now.
No - nothing to do with that. It’s the colour that is horrible not the brand.

I had the AT with slate dial. Had both the rubber strap and metal bracelet. Rubber strap was super comfortable, and the watch could be dressed up or down...great for all occasions. My only issue was that the dial was hard to read on occasion. Partly my bad eyes, but even with glasses on it was tough to read in certain light. I ended up trading it for an Explorer + some cash...

I understand, although I wasn't talking brand v brand, but in the specific watch sector it's my opinion the Omega comes out second. Ask the same question on chronographs and Omega wins for me.

Yes to an extent I agree. I think I’d certainly look at a DJ41 over the AT. Colour aside it was nice enough although the hands and indicies bling so much under the lights it was difficult to read.

I think a darker green would have been great. This shade is not for me. Goes from near black at some angles to a muddy green at others. Some will like I’m sure and no doubt it’s quite good value at the price point.

The problem is that a DJ41 with the specifics I love are double the price of an AT.
Since an AT can be found for 5k +/- and the DJ41 blue dial, oyster bracelet and white gold bezel is well over 10k and is pretty hard to find one brand new.

That's the combination I went for, they are hard to find but should be possible if you are prepared to wait, I was lucky enough to get mine after 6 weeks after expressing an interest, but I do have a purchase history with the chain of shops.

The Omega AD that I buy all of my watches is also a Rolex AD, so I was offered one, but, as I said, it's double the price of an AT and I can't afford to buy one right now.

Well, I have two of the older variants with the vertical teak dial, the blue "Skyfall" 231.10.42.21.03.001 the dial of which twinks and glitters in the most magical way and the Opaline 231.10.42.21.02.001.
I justify both for the contrast between the two dials and the truth is that I have no desire to replace them with anything.

Not to complicate the choices even further, but had you considered the Constellation Globemaster? It’s available with a blue pie pan dial (gorgeous!), a METAS 8900 master chronometer movement and the tungsten carbide bezel is scratch proof. It does well as both a sports watch and a dress piece.

If you can take a look at that hue of green in a couple different lights (indirect especially). It changes like crazy. Jewellery store lights are made to make jewellery sparkle like mad. Not always the best thing for watches.

That's why whenever i am deciding on a new watch at my AD he lets me walk out of the store in the sunlight with it for a few minutes.

I was "dissapointed" when I got my 8500 series 45mm PO in titanium. The blue dial and bezel looked terrible under the store lights (I had ordered it at a James Bond event they held but sight unseen).

Upon taking it home, putting it on my wrist and going for a drive I immediately fell in love with it! Same with my matte black/charcoal PO. Doesn't look good under super bright direct light but under all other conditions it's awesome.

That green one is no exception. Especially if you were to also add that green gator strap and the new green NATO. Beauty!

Ya the titanium one is very unique. Because of the polished ceramic bezel but brushed numbers it plays with light really well. I've fund it looks anywhere from super bright blue to a grey-steel blue. On gloomy days (like today where I am) it's super vibrant. I really love this watch. I would assume the green AT would follow suit.
