    Good day all,

So I sent my Aqua Terra in for a service under warranty on november 14th. Just got it back. There was a small issue where some of the dates were not perfectly centered and they fixed it. They also tested it for water pressure and how it runs in certain positions.

I've added some picures below of the things I got back with the watch. For those who are interested. :)

The date not being centered is a problem i have noticed in a lot of Omega's new models. I had a problem with 2 different watches that were both replaced. Also 2 out of 3 bezels of watches like the new Seamaster are never perfectly aligned. How difficult can it be...

For the price we pay, I find it unacceptable tbh. It is covered under warranty, but I lost my watch for 5 weeks for something that shouldn't happen.

I am glad I got it back now though. Just in time for christmas.

    Yea right?

Look at the positioning on the date of the sedna gold worldtimer that retails at 35k+ that fratello used in an article today.

And keep in mind that even if that was in the PM, the date doest start moving before after 11PM

Not surprising...they don't want to upset the hands that feed them...

BTW Omega does have a tolerance for the centering of the date in the window. If you take the space left over in the opening that the printed digit doesn't take up, if the date is perfectly centered then that space would be 1/2 on one side and 1/2 on the other. Omega's tolerance allows for the gap to be slightly off, so 1/3 on one side, and 2/3 on the other for modern watches.

Indeed but in this case, considering the font at the top especially, the 11 has no space whatsoever on the left side

I wasn't saying this was okay - quite the opposite actually.

I had no idea this was a thing. My AT probably fell in this category. 1/3 left, 2/3 right. Still bothered me though, because the date of the next day was slightly showing. I'm glad I had it fixed. Now it's 1/2, 1/2 and I'm a happy customer. :)

Perhaps Omega hasn't gotten the hang of having the dates at 6 o'clock yet seeing as most of their older models have dates at 3 o'clock. They've yet to perfect it for some reason.

The misalignment can come from a couple of sources...printing error on the date indicator, something amiss in the date mechanism itself (date jumper), or even a dial that is slightly out of position. In any case, none of these are all that difficult to fix.
