This or that?

I'm planning on purchasing my wife her first Omega for the upcoming holiday, what does the forum think I should choose, left or right? I should also add that the Seamaster I'm considering has a light blue dial whereas this one is white.

If I were buying my wife a watch and it was between these two, it would be the one on the right...with the smooth bezel. Good luck.

If you ask me I say the right, but maybe you should ask her? (My wife doesn't like surprises).

Whichever one your wife prefers. 😗
This piece will be a surprise present, so she'll have no say in which one I choose.

Connie is more board room, Seamaster is more class room. Connie is dressier, SM is sportier- which is she?

Brave man. 👍

Edit: I asked Mrs. S. She says she likes both, but her immediate gut reaction was that she liked the Seamaster more. In particular she pointed to the bracelet and bezel.

I never understood the “straps” across the bezel of Omega’s dressier watches. They look like a jeweler had to silver solder brackets to hold it all together (😉). The Seamaster would be my choice. Nonetheless, a subtle blue dial, like the one I bought for my now wife (in abalone, no less,) is gorgeous...

She's more of a casual girl but has always been infatuated with the Constellation.

Thank you for sharing her opinion 😁

Well, here is your answer!!

You don’t need to “match” your wife’s watch to your seamaster... 😉
Yes, you are welcome! 😁

So she loves the Connie’s, does she like vintage Connie’s or has she shown interest in the modern ones- very different watches

I hate the broad arrow on the minute hand of the Seamaster, to be honest.

My lady loves Connie’s too, but she has been very specific that she likes the star on the dial and the observatory back. She likes the C- cased ones but when I have shown her some mid-70’s ones without the star on the dial her first comment is “nope, no star”....they know exactly what they want, unlike us.

And if I presented her with a quartz Connie she would throw it across the room- well, not that dramatic, but mechanical all the way for her.

To the point @Dan S made, she has already told you what she wants- now you have to put the pieces together.

If it was down to just these two, I'd go with the Seamaster... can't say for your wife, but I know with mine the Constellation bracelet would be a deal breaker. You mention your wife is more casual - would the hour markers bother her at all? Would they seem too "blingly" to her on either one?

Yes, the watch ::facepalm1::
In all seriousness, the Constellation is such a beautiful watch... but only you know your wife best.
