EDIT:

Here is another earlier example which shows different characteristics. This one is simply marked PAT+ on the back.

As we have noted in other threads on various Omega topics, Omega used different manufacturers AND did not have nearly as strict quality control over production as we expect from them now, as long as it met the general specification given. No one would accept the finish on these today, yet they are typical of pieces produced years ago.

if you look closely to Gatorcpa and Normans buckles you will notice the piece that would go through the hole in the strap does not enter the Omega logo at all...and on the buckle in question it goes quite far into the Omega logo, not to ::deadhorse:: but I still think this is fake. ::stirthepot::

EDIT: I concede, who can tell, with so many different manufacturers its almost impossible to tell! 😕

my question now is: why, the table?
Just a piece of granite on the bottom of my light box.

In my modest opinion this buckle is fake.

The photographs that follow, show the evolution of the buckles over the years.Obviously this is a personal rating, open to any denial, but, to date them before, I did historical research, based then, only on catalogs, instruction booklets, advertisements and vintage posters, in addition to the Museum Omega.I hope that this modest contribution can be of help.I only added the photos of the buckles, because all those related research, are many and, at the moment, I do not have much time to spare. Thanks for your attention.

Year '30-'40

In addition to these buckles, there are others created for different countries of the world, such as the American ones, or the one in gold 9Kt (found among the first armed) made in Birmingham, which are slightly different (I can not find the photos ).

Some, I'm going from memory, resemble the one you entered from the opener, but I do not really like the Omega logo, I find it uncertain, imperfect, I do not know, but I have this feeling (judging by the picture).

Bye bye,

Giuseppe.

gatorcpa, your Omega logo does not look riveted to the buckle like this one is. The shoddy riveting is what makes me believe this is a fake...I have a buckle very similar to yours pictured here and the one in this post appears to be...not even close.

Mine is riveted, but I don't have a picture of the back handy. It's not as rough in the back as the eBay example, but again that could just be from normal wear and tear. The watch is from the 1940's originally. My buckle doesn't say "Stainless Steel" in the back like X350's, but it does have "Omega".
