Hi all, I'm new to vintage watches but have a few friends who have nice Omega watches . I was looking at the watch in the images below and considering buying it on. I was hoping to get some opinions on it's overall quality. It looks like it's in very good condition which concerns me that it might have a significant amount of replacement parts. I know the band and buckle is new.

I'm looking at spending around 700-800 US.

    Thanks in advance.

Sorry can't tell much from the photos which are to small.

I can say that it's priced at least two times more than its value.

Thanks, I was worried the image size might be an issue. I'll see if I can get some higher res / larger images. I haven't found many other places to search for watches aside from ebay. It's always hard to tell what's a 'good deal'. :)

I've attached the higher res images. Hopefully these help.

You have to decide what is nice to you. Refurbished or original condition with patina. Best advice is to look a round a bit. Omegas aren't rare.

There are far better examples around than this. If you can resist the urge to dive straight in and take the time to read up on here and learn a bit about vintage Omegas, you'll love yourself six months down the line when you've ended up with something really nice instead of this overpolished, overpriced mediocrity.

If you're set on this type of style/model, they can be had at around half the price.

Way over polished, way over priced.

As noted you can do much better if you're a little patient.

Thanks for all the advice, I appreciate the help. I was looking for a watch as a wedding gift (to myself) so I do have a slight time constraint but maybe I'll borrow a buddies and keep looking.
