hi everyone

Just a FYI . this is still a work in progress..... The Things With Springs Clubhouse room is meant for a Live watch forum experience with a small GTG. We are striving for a collector to collector conversations.. having collectors either email me photo of there watch ( or they can join the forum and reply to this thread ) so we can " chat" about in real time... Just to be clear we dont have to talk about a posted watch ... this is a free flowing room on topics on vintage watches and things around watch collecting ... And at the end of the GTG when everyone leaves the CH room... and the room no longer exist ... This thread will remain as a quasi record of the event and we can later go back and refer to.... Hear you at 4 pm EDT Sunday ....

Remember the CH room is only as good as the collectors that join in.... please post a watch you want to chat about.

Be Safe

Good Hunting

Hello all! Nice to chat on Certina, Mulco, Gigantic, and Glycine!

Here's a preview of my forthcoming article on my blog - the Glycine Automatic from 1931, yeah that's before Rolex! This was the first automatic watch produced in volume, since Harwood/Fortis/Blancpain had some serious trouble getting their (expensive) watches out the door.

Here's a much different Mulco ad for ya! This was 1947:

And here are a few much more delicious Mulco watches!

This one is 1939. Tell me you wouldn't want this in your collection...

Here's one from right after the war in 1946, when Müller poured some new money into the brand:

And I'll finish with a couple of delicious Mulco watches from 1953! Looks like the new Jaeger-LeCoultre Polaris collection!

Here's a Hoga writeup from Europa Star in 1971 for Matthew. Their Digital Directime kicked off a mechanical digital fad in the early 1970s!
