So we got to speak with Fred Mandelbaum the head of Breitling Heritage. He cleared some things up in regards to the history of these, and the tie-in with OW and Sinn. He has spoken to the people involved and confirmed everything with the Brietling archives. So he confirmed the sale of the parts to Sinn OW and 1 other in the late 70's. There was no lawsuit in the late 80's as it was determined that no agreement had been breached. As communicated by Fred, no one thought much about these and thought the mechanical watch would not exist much further into the future. Brietling retained the name, but no one owns the rights to the design. My apologies if I misspoke at any point in regards to the Sinn 903 and Fred's information in regards to these.
