I have to keep reminding myself that it's February...typically a month where we see very cold temperatures, and it's been double digit highs (above +10 C) all week this week, peaking at a little over +18 C here yesterday. Records of course...it's nuts how warm it's been. I walked the dogs at lunch yesterday in jeans and a tee shirt - it's usually a parka this time of year...

Yes some weather is headed this way also, but it's still warm enough to be rain (already had some and thunderstorms expected later today). I've been seeing buds on trees, etc. and apparently the sap is running like mad right now so the maple sugar producers are getting an early start. Just a bit worried that the trees and plants will get too far along and then we'll have some really cold weather swoop in - happened a few years ago and all the fruit growers had a very bad year...as did anyone who likes fruit since it all had to be imported.

Bloomin' lovely here in Kuwait today - like a warm UK summer's day
Liberation Day today -lots of crazy Kuwaitis (by the hundred) driving around blowing there horns with huge flags flying off their cars and pick-ups
And who can blame them!
Brits and Americans are particular popular here on this day 😀
Pics without cars...

I think I'm in a space warp. Out the window I'm seeing about 1/2 inch of snow and more falling fast. But the public schools usually cancel school for the day with even less snow on the ground than this, and there's no announcement on the radio or any of the usual websites. Like it isn't even happening.

Stunning and no sign of whatever our latest storm is called, am I the only one that thinks naming a 'storm' is a complete waste of time ?

Had some wind last week. Can't believe it all went into one load.

Sorry, somehow doesn't feel quite right to like your post for no other reason that I always find it sad to see trees felled in a storm. Nature at work I know 🤦
Nice pics. 👍

To be honest, that one and the one next to it are the two sorriest looking trees in the yard. Been thinking about cutting them down but have the same feelings about stuff that you do.

These Petunias in my basement don't care one little bit that it's going to snow. They think they are in Ft. Lauderdale.

Welcome to Australia, where it can be hot enough for a river to run down the crack of your arse at midnight and wet enough that your cars stuck to the axles in mud in the driveway.

And we're in Brisbane, not even the bit that's really getting rained on badly.

The bloke who invented air conditioning needs a posthumous sainthood, I'd be working in my underpants right now if it weren't for him, at bloody midnight :/

That would be Saint Willis Carrier. I sing his praises every summer. Installing central air conditioning in my house is one of the best things I've ever done.
