Right I am sitting on my hotel room's balcony. Here in Abu Dhabi it is quite windy but still nicely warm. Especially when you read the weather forecast of my hometown (-1 degree Celsius and little snow) [emoji16]

Beautiful clear morning. No bright colors, because it's clear, but Jupiter makes a fine morning star.

Was a nice day yesterday, and pretty much all the leaves are down now, so time for the fall clean-up. After putting a new spark plug in the push mower, then mulching with the rider and bagging with the push mower, the lawn was done. Now time to get the snow poles in so the snow plough driver doesn't chew up my front lawn...again!

The municipality puts in some wooden stakes for this purpose, but they are only a couple of feet tall and they never install enough - these are 6 feet tall (minus a bit stuck into the ground) which seems like a lot but a couple of years ago these were the only ones still visible in the whole neighbourhood.

Then up on the roof to clean the leaves from all the valleys...

Then a quick check of the eaves, rearranged the garage for access to the slow blower, and we were done. Now just waiting for the snow...

Al!

How nice of you to put up targets for the city drivers!

Seriously.... these guys don't seem to care how many mailboxes they take out, maybe their Christmas bonus depends on it!

I heard someone just north of here (Hamilton) mounted his mailbox on a piece of I beam which was driver waaaaay into the ground, I understand the snowplow driver damn near lost his teeth clipping that one.

Listening to salsa music from the street behind me and the football game at the college down the street. Leaves are almost all down. It's a beautiful day here in the 413.

Used to Live in LA and Miami. Now located in DC Metro. I really didnt appreciate what LA weather was... you want to go to Mexico, drive 3 hours south. You want to go to the beach, Drive 2 hours west. you want snow in January, drive 3 hours north. you want to gamble and party. go to VEGAS. everything is within striking distance.
However, Miami has a better business climate. If you have a thriving online business or a business that can work in Florida nothing beats it. Horrible summers. Now im in DC and I HATE THE COLD...
