I literally just wrote this down in a note on my phone to be added to a holiday list for yours truly. Thanks for the heads up!
I was reading a review of this book a few days ago on the Fratello Watches site. Nice review. Here's a link: https://www.fratellowatches.com/book-review-the-vintage-rolex-field-guide/
As announced on Instagram... Coming up: The Vintage Rolex Field Manual - Chevalier Edition ... An amazing book, available soon: https://www.vrfg.io/main?r_done=1
Thanks for the info. Just ordered one from Amazon. Curious if author is a member of OF. Does anyone know?
Just got one as a gift the other week, it’s great! Would highly recommend to anyone remotely interested in Rolex.
After the softcover VRFG, there'll be the VRFM Chevalier hardcover edition... MoonwatchUniverse is proud we could contribute a tiny portion for this excellent hardcover .
VRFG (G for guide) became the VRFM (M for Manual) the Vintage Rolex Field Manual - The Chevalier edition Besides all the "nerdy" details on the Rolex tool- & dress watches, movements, calibers, bracelets & accessoires... this 266 pages hardcover book is laced with interesting background stories & anecdotes of adventurers, explorers, sportsmen & -women, aviation, spaceflight, historical figures etc... A preview page: .
I don't think Colin is on the Omegaforums.net but instagram = https://www.instagram.com/morning_tundra/ More information about the new, enhanced/extended VRFM hardcover version will be available soon ! https://www.vrfg.io/main
The book is very well written with a great overview of the brand. The tables are beyond fantastic. They are comprehensive and easy to use. The Comex/Military section is great. This book is like a Swiss Army knife for Rolex hunting. Yes, it could use more pics but for the price, it’s a great, portable reference . Of course I used it to validate my watches again and it came in super handy in some PM discussions over the first quarter of this year.
