I might be wrong, but imho you mix watches with original UG cases and those cased in the specific country @Mark020

Concerning the dial and the day wheel: Many UG TDMP have different languages. It seems as if some dials only exist in one language and then just the wheels are changed to the specific language where they are sold. See the ad @bgrisso shows on page 1 of the thread. There is SAB for sábado but SEP for september instead of setembro.
Same holds for my TDMP and the one @slique12 owned and now is owned by @TheRealMe.

Just took one right now for you. I’ve been meaning to wear the watch.
Thanks!

I'd be surprised if this were the case, but it is possible. However in your example, I believe that it's Spanish: SAB for sábado and SEP for septiembre, which would make it have consistent language in the ad.

yes I think @TheRealMe is suggesting French casing without UG markings in this example

I have seen many mismatched day/dial languages but I’ve never studied enough to form an opinion. I will say offhand I feel I’ve seen way too many to suggest someone just replacing day disc at a later date with the wrong part.

I believe the advert I posted the dial is French (MAI - may)

Now, languages are mixed.
The ad is Portuguese.

Months and days in Spanish, French and Portuguese. As you can see, dial and day wheel are mixed in the ad.

Perhaps but I can't recall having seen a case without any reference or serial on a TDMP

I would guess that the day wheel was changed out at one point in the watch’s life.
Well, if the case is french, and the day wheel is in french, I'd say that the dial is the one that was changed in the past 😀

Just now I happened to come across this thread again. It’s been 3 years since my previous post, but this TDMP is still one of the favorites in the collection. So glad I spent a bit of extra money to have it restored well! I think it’s a bit of a shame that these models don’t feature on the new UG website.
