·Today I’m selling this beautiful Omega Cosmic triple date moon phase ref 2606 from the very early 1950's. These are some of my favourite Omegas to collect as they have so many interesting dial variations under the same reference numbers and of course the big challenge is in finding nice original examples in unmolested condition!
This one has a lovely cream dial with applied golden markers at the quarters and gilt coffin hour markers and the usual blue date chapter ring. Some patina and wear.
The golden alpha hands with blue seconds pointer are in great condition. The stars/moon disk has a nice brown hue which is very helpful when it comes to picking out a complimentary leather strap!
The steel and gold top case is in very good shape with strong lugs and bezel and a nice 35mm diameter. The signed crown and date setting pushers are functioning perfectly. The case back is signed 2606-6 and has a well executed dedication.
Running a cal 381 with a serial number in the 12.8 million range which ties in with around 1951. The movement is in good condition and is running very well, winding and setting very smoothly with the English calendar and moon phase functions operating as they should. The watch was last serviced approx 2017 and has been worn a couple of times a year since.
Selling this one head only.
€4250 net to me will include worldwide Track & Trace shipping. Payment by bank transfer or Wise for well established forum members only.
