Back in the day my parents bought that exact car! Same color, same interior. It was what passed as a "full sized" Chrysler by the 1980s. Underneath all the fluff, the chassis and suspension was the same design and dimensions as the '63 Dodge Dart they had bought 21 years before, which was then marketed as a compact car!

The small A-bodied Chrysler models (Dart and Valiant back then) handled quite well with great cornering capabilities, but the '84 New Yorker was a slug, its 318 CID V8 had almost all the acceleration performance abilities of our '63 Dart's 173 CID slant six.

A white '63 Dodge Dart station wagon, but not our white '63 Dodge Dart station wagon.

That woman stuck on the roof would've played hell with the aerodynamics. and would be a problem in undercover car parks ....but much more stylish than some tasteless chrome geegaw of a hood ornament!

Well... my mother would have cavorted on the roofs of our cars about once before my dad put a stop to that nonsense!

That is no time at all to serve. He will be out either finding god or someone else you front a new business for him. He has been inside before. I wonder what about all the watches that exchanged hands between him and his peers. Look at Romani, Wizard, etc....

Hey, I would cavort with that well dressed woman on the roof too but come on 1963 how old is she now!
Still a great photo of a sexy woman from back in the day, a great memory for someone even though it's obviously a promotional picture.

She'd be in her 80s to 90s by now so probably a bit of a dried arrangement by now is she's still with us otherwise there'd not be much left but an old chassis! The passage of time is cruel to all of us, which is why we have time pieces to track it!

It’s obviously caused by a love of the bottle.
