The stupidity of counterfeiters is matched by the cheap poseurs that buy this crap. Neither one cares about integrity, it's a marriage made in heaven.

If you buy a fake\counterfeit deliberately - then no comment on actions or reasons for these actions. If you have been tricked - then we all learn.

No guys, this is a rare prototype from when, for a short time, Rolex and Omega thought about joining forces and sharing supply chains.

It’s a fact that buckles are the most difficult part to manufacture. It requires special tools and highly skilled workers.

At some point in time Omega had to procure from Rolex ´cause they had lost the necessary know how.

Then they developped the CoAxial spring bar and came back in the race a a strap keeper (at this level no one talks anymore about buckle!) manufacture.

The MoonSwatch was so successful that The Swatch Group are looking at new collaboration options - this buckle is for the MoonDweller!!

Various counterfeited rubbish has come my way in the last few years……no I didn’t pay for any of it.
A charity organisation has me check over donations to see if they are real, I do this for free and they leave me with the rubbish to get rid of.
I’m planning on taking these to the range and using them as targets when I’ve amassed enough.
Whilst I sort the obvious rubbish, I do recommend they get confirmation of the good stuff to see if it’s genuine.
There is an advantage for me with my arrangement with the charity, and that’s that I get 1st dibs on anything I like once we agree on a price.
I also replace the batteries on anything for them and do minor repairs for them for free. So it’s good for both of us.
They do alright outta it, they get to sell stuff they would’ve had to bin, they get an idea what they’re actually got and I donate stuff to them as well as fix some other stuff.

So far there have been various TAGs, Bretlings, an very well done Omega Constellation ( loverly looking case, dial and band, but with shit Chinese quartz movement) a Patek ( again a good fake case, strap, etc. but this time an automatic movement fair but not Patek ) and a particularly hideous Bvalgari…. mind you hideousness is a Bvalgari hallmark so I had to check the movement there!
Even some stuff that you wouldn’t think worth the trouble faking.

l find that they get a lot of Swatch’s with flat batteries, I guess they wear them for a few years and battery changes and then loose interest as the fashion changes and get another or a bloody smartwatch these days, a lot of these look like they’ve rarely been worn and in the original box with papers.
I have no interest in these so I happily shove a new battery in and they get to sell them on.
I do have a mate who collects these , and I give him the heads up and he often buys them.

What is the source of this information?

Rolex Marconi, spot the deliberate mistake

Well, aside from the spelling error, if the Marconi case was Swiss made it would have been post 1920 and would not have had RWC Ltd but Montres Rolex SA wouldn't it?

Shitinerand cases have always been a fave of mine.
Not for me, I'm an anti-monarchist😀

I hoped the co axial springbar and the strapkeeper manufacture were enough... 😬
Sorry won't do it again (at least not without the sarcastic smiley!). 😉

In my defence, I’ve seen a lot of batshit crazy claims made about Rolex, so I guess that’s a contributing factor. 😉
