Finally Jennifer sent me a whole pile of documents from the early seventies.
It looks like the Navy LCDR. W. Austin had some troubles with his watch and had to return it to Omega in NYC for a warranty repair. I've got his letter to Omega as well as the letter he's got back confirming reception of his watch for repair. Nine months later, Mr. Austin was writing again to Omega asking if they're building a new watch for him
a couple of weeks later, he got another letter in response confirming that his watch was repaired and on its way back to America, from Switzerland.
Besides that, I've got the warranty booklet, unfortunately not filled, but it doesn't matter - it's part of the package and it belongs to the whole story.
So cool that, months after getting my money for the watch, the owners' wife bothered getting back to me, asking for the shipping address again, and shipping me all the papers she found in the meantime
