Like watching "The Sixth Sense" for the second time.

Um, exactly why were two viewings necessary?

Sort of a "Rashoman" kind of thing ... you see everything entirely differently once you know the surprise ending. Unless someone spoiled it for you before you saw it the first time.

I think I was about 15 or 20 minutes in when I said "Oh, I just figured this whole movie out", so no second viewing required.

Don't you do it! 😁
Haha! If the movie is spoiled for someone who hasn’t seen it yet, they only have themselves to blame. It’s been out since 1999. Speaking of, now I feel old. 🤔

Congrats on winning this beautiful gem of a watch. 😎 I watched this auction from afar - even after the original thread was up; fortune indeed favors the brave. Not sure if one in this condition will pop-up anytime soon.

Thank you. I watched it live and it seemed the auctioneer was doing his/her damnedest to get a higher bid... warning, warning, going once, going twice... seemed to take forever and I don't know how brave I was, I do know how nervous I was... thanks again for your kind comments.

Went to the watchmaker today.... and the verdict is in:
Yes, it is a 145.022-68 transitional
Movement # is 27.32x.xxx
The watchmaker was amazed at the condition, said he’d never seen one better and probably never will in the future. He placed on a timegrapher and showed me the amplitude which he said was great, beat error was .5ms and tested timing in three positions... face up 1 sec/day, down 3 sec and side 2 sec. He thought it had been recently serviced but when he opened the caseback, the gasket was dried out and no watchmaker’s mark. Omega quality... amazing.
So, a basic service is to be done and I’ll have the watch back in three weeks.
