I wasn’t talking about the Cat in the picture... nor doubting the watch.
As I can see Catalina Island right now, and have always loved the design. There is something romantic and utilitarian about the Cat which is odd to have both at the same time.
Qantas purchased an ex US bird that had been converted to water drop in Spain. They fly it to AUS to restore it as a tribute to the double sunrise flights during WWII where crews flew 28 hours plus without through Japanese controlled waters to keep communication lines open.
Seeing these old birds in flight is quite a sight.
