This 1969 USMC aviator photo might show a Glycine Airman wristwatch at the wrist of 1st Lt Grose stepping down cockpit of an A-4 Skyhawk...
Looks like a beige/cream dial watch, with substantial 2nd crown or locking thumbscrew... thin bezel and correct lugs for an Airman?
If the photo shows a beige dial version Glycine Airman, that watch was at least 12 years old as the last beige dial Airman was made in 1956 !
What do You think ?

My sickness, revolved around Space Flight Pieces.
I have My Speedy, Moon Watch, plus the X-33, Gen 1&2 and the
Skywalker.
I acquired the Apollo 8, as well. Lovely piece. Never wear it.
Pilot a Flight Watches, ...
A Navitimer, and the Flight Masters Grandchild...the Z-33.
That is the a very functional piece.
It’s a love it or hate it relationship to most folks.
Very light to wear...but needs a big wrist.

no time to look at Your watch... but it took 44 seconds
😀
.

My brother used to be a pilot for Red Bull and they where talking about this over 10 years ago. He was one of the candidates to do it back then.

Amazing pilots

I Have to have to have to have to…

… show this to my wife.
You: "I think I need a few more vintage watches to round-out my collection."
Wife: "are you frickin kidding me? You have enough watches!"
You: "It could be worse, honey."
Wife: "How could it possibly be worse?!"
*Sees pictures of @maanu's collection*
Wife: "but you only wear one at a time anyway!"
You: "Yeah, well you wear TWO shoes at a time. Game over, woman!"
Wife: "'woman?' excuse me?"
You: *goes outside to do chores*

A very affordable pilot watch
I actually rather like the aesthetic. Seems like a nice enough piece to induce intrigue for younger or newer collectors looking to dabble in the pilot's watch area. Really, there are a ton of great watches in the sub-1k or even around the 500 mark for pilots.
I once was at a private reception for an aviation company wearing my Speedy. I saw a few Rolex, a few Breitling etc. But the one that stood out was a Glycine on a young guy. I complimented his selection and he was beside himself that someone wearing a Speedy thought his watch was cool. I was like, "dude, the Glycine is a serious watch with real aviation heritage; that's a solid choice...wanna try mine on for fun?"

This was mostly so I could try on the Glycine lol

Definitely some intense pilot watch collectors out and about. Have always liked the vintage Pilot watches but have never owned one.

I do have an IWC Big Pilot, a Breitling Navitimer and a Rolex GMT

I do own couple of speedies, and this piece is ~$200 since I'm out of budget for 2021 and I figured it's an interesting piece😉.

Good enough! I'm afraid my budget is to be consumed for the remainder of the year. I actually had a preorder in for one of the numbered Baltic releases but cancelled it. Sucks, but it was the right call

Edit: I just realized I came off as suggesting you were a young or new collector that didn't have expensive watches yet. This was not my intention nor did I think that about you! I was simply remarking upon the category of watch your above Flieger represents and I got excited about it because it's fun to pick up pieces in that camp! My apologies, friend

Just two in my collection, French Dodane Type 21 & British Vertex Dirty Dozen. Unfortunately, I might have to sell one to help pay for our wedding 🙁
