The Omega Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition buckle - can you buy that separately - to put on another watch. And what is the Omega numbers for that? How many mm is the trap for at the buckle end?

    Thanks in avance :)

Strap is tappered from 19 to 16 ( buckle). The symbol on the buckle is: STZ010566. You have to ask AD on availability.

I ordered a similar brushed buckle two weeks ago at my local OB (the one from Speedy Tuesday 1, 18mm). No issues, they ordered it and it came in in 3 days. I paid for it ($50 + tax) when I picked it up at the OB. As long as you have the part number it won't be an issue.

Thanks - What was the part number for yours - it's for my Railmaster, and 16 mm at the buckle sounds a little narrow.

First you started out looking for a buckle for a 1948 Seamaster which is 19 x 16 mm, then you switch to a Railmaster which is 20 x 18 mm. Two completely different watches and strap sizes. Confused

I'm sorry for the confusion. If you reread my first question, you will see, that I write - "The Omega Seamaster 1948 Limited Edition buckle - can you buy that separately - to put on another watch."

I did not know that the 1948 buckle was 16 mm - that I learned from the first answer. But 20x16 mm is a possible way to go for my railmaster, and I am still considering this option - especially because the 1948 buckle is very well finished. However and 20x18 might be more to my liking. Hope that clears up the confusion.

    Thanks for your reply

The Buckle you first showed ref: STZ010566 is indeed 18mm.
The Strap/Lug Size of the Seamaster 1948 is 19mm but it tapers down to 18mm at the Buckle...not 16mm.

You know they must come in both sizes. I have the same ref. buckle & it's definitely 18mm. Had a Leather Strap made for my Speedy, 20/18mm with the STZ010566 11IJB.
It is a fabulous buckle. Mine is on eBay now. I happened on this thread researcnhing for the listing. Selling bec I sold the Speedy & bought a GS. The GS 18mm Buckle is quite nice too :)

Just checked my 16mm buckles over the weekend, same STZ010566 11IJB. Looks like they didn't differentiate the two sizes by ref numbers.

Go for the taper 20/16 looks so much more classy.

Is there a 19mm OEM bracelet such as the Ed White that would fit on this case?
