I've recently come into possession of this Omega pocket watch.
From what I can find it's from 1933 which means my grandfather would have bought it before it was passed down to my dad and now me.
My brother seems to remember that it's been sitting in a drawer for the last 30+ years.
I don't remember my dad ever wearing it and unfortunately there isn't anyone around any more to find out more about the watch.

Funny you mention the fonts.
I thought it was odd, that the 12 and 24 hour markers didn't use the same font!
Especially evident on the 3s...

Was also surprised about how clean it is inside. My guess is, the watch hasn't seen much use over the past 50-60 years.
My dad wasn't into watches at all and probably just kept it for it's sentimental value.

Mine from 1917 or thereabouts, still running like a champ, about +5 seconds a day. Seen here next to the Elgin I thought was a non runner, but it’s been running for the last 30 hours having lost about 10 seconds, amazing stuff.

I have this Omega pocket watch with T.E. Lawrence of Lawrence of Arabia fame. I am always interested to hear any expertise about it. Other than finding this one, I can't find out anything else about it other than the age from the serial number.

I’ve had two omega pocket watches over the years.

The first one below I sold a couple of years ago (I was very intrigued by the blue dial for a 1930s watch). I believe it is a CK1062.

The second one remains in my collection at the moment - I think it is a CK374. I was quite impressed with the overall condition of this one.

I note from the previous posts that the details on the casebacks have names, any idea what this one is called? This was on the CK374.

I think it's just an engraved pattern Ollie. Are you maybe thinking of Niello finish?
That's where the case is engraved then filled with a dark compound and fired, resulting in contrasting dark and light surfaces.

Sorry: that one I haven't seen. So many different and beautiful designs. Typically on 35.5, 37.5 and even 38.5. Tom
